How to Make Garlic Butter Steak Bites
1. Make the mashed potatoes
Boil potatoes in salted water 12–15 minutes until fork tender.
Drain and mash with butter, milk or cream, garlic, and salt and pepper. Keep warm.
2. Cook the steak bites
Pat steak cubes very dry. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
Heat a large skillet like this one over high heat with olive oil.
Cook steak bites in batches (don’t crowd the pan) 1–2 minutes per side until browned.
Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, and toss steak bites for 30–60 seconds.
3. Make the creamy Parmesan sauce
In another pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Add heavy cream, simmer 2–3 minutes, then whisk in Parmesan until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Assemble the dish
Spoon garlic mashed potatoes onto plates.
Top with steak bites and drizzle with creamy Parmesan sauce.
Finish with fresh parsley.
Tips for the Best Steak Bites
✔ Pat the steak dry — this is key for a good sear.
✔ Don’t overcrowd the pan — steam kills the crust.
✔ Cook eggs, potatoes, or other sides separately if you want cleaner shots for plating.
✔ Fresh herbs at the end make a huge visual difference for blog photos and reels.
What to Serve With
These steak bites are fantastic on their own, but also pair well with:
